Allzyme SSF (10,000 mgs per scoop) – Solid state fermentation (SSF) is a method that produces a strain of Aspergillus niger, which has been found to be beneficial to animals, when maintained in the correct balance within the gastrointestinal tract. For probiotic purposes, Aspergillus niger can help to restore and re-stabilize the micro flora in the gastrointestinal tract. Supports healthy immune system, gut flora, promotes digestion and nutrient absorption. Can also combat pathogenic bacteria, and improve overall metabolism. Also allows for more nutrients including amino acids, calcium and phosphorus to be available, and thus allows for better feed utilization.
Yea-Sacc (live yeast culture with minimum 1 billion cells per gram) (10,000mg/scoop) – Cultures that are selected for equine diets, have been shown categorically to stimulate good bacteria in the hindgut of the horse, improving digestion. Research has concluded that live yeast can reduce excess acidity in equine caecal contents, and assist in the restoration of normal gut function, which appear to affect temperament in certain horses. Yeast enhances the activity of fibre-digesting bacteria, therefore promoting a more efficient use of the vitamins and minerals. Undigested carbohydrates and excess starch can cause high acidity in the hindgut, which can reduce vitamin B formation.
Bio-Mos (mannan-oligosaccharides) (10,000mg/scoop) – This prebiotic is derived from the outer wall of yeast cells. MOS works by sticking onto pathogenic bacteria so that they cannot become attached to the wall of the gut. MOS also has a beneficial effect on the immune system of the intestinal track, as well as improving feed digestibility.

Amino Max Extra Strength contains three essential Amino Acids to support diet, muscle growth and development, GI tract and healing.
L-LYSINE 20 g
Lysine, an essential amino acid needed for appropriate growth (muscle, blood and hoof building) and bone development helping calcium
absorption and maintaining proper nitrogen balance. A deficiency of Lysine, most likely will limit the building of muscles. This amino acid aids in the
production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes, and helps in collagen formation and tissue repair, as well as stimulation of gastric juices.
DL-METHIONINE 10 g
Methionine, an essential amino acid important for the generation of energy and protein metabolization and is one of the nutritionally required protein building blocks vital for normal metabolism and growth. Methionine is needed for the production of cystine which is necessary to form the healthy “cross links” of collagen that add strength and elasticity, needed for healthy hoof, skin, hair, ligaments, tendons and cartilage. Methionine is an important source of dietary sulfur, helping to support normal liver health and urinary PH. A deficiency of Methionine impacts muscle function, combined with Lysine to form carnitine, a carrier for muscles to burn fat.
L-THREONINE 5 g
Threonine is an essential amino acid which supports digestion, immune function and muscle systems. It enhances growth and food deficiency,
produces adrenalin, is a precursor to thyroid hormones. Threonine is necessary for optimal GI tract health; assists mucin production (an important component of mucous) which contributes to a smooth functioning gut and nutrient absorption; protects the gut against digestive enzymes, pathogens and toxins. This important amino acid helps speed up the healing process due to trauma or injury. A Lysine and Threonine deficiency is likely to limit the body’s ability to build muscles.
VITAMIN E NATURAL (50% DL-Alpha Tocopherol Acetate) 1750 IU (5 g)
Vitamin E enhances muscle tone and endurance in working horses and also improves circulation. It improves heart function, enhances the immune
system and acts as a potent antioxidant. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E is very important to the diet for free radical scavenging properties. Free radicals are produced in higher quantities during times of stress such as heavy exercise, illness or injury, beneficial for the prevention of tying up. Antioxidant protection is critical.

Hyaluronic Acid (100 mg per serving). HA is a component of collagen, and is classified as a mucopolysaccharide. It belongs to the same category as Chondroitin and Glucosamine. It functions by attracting water to the synovial fluid and acts as a lubricating substance within the joint creating a protective barrier that reduces friction relieving inflammation and pain by improving joint function. Like Glucosamine and Chondroitin, H.A. works better with anti-oxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Alpha Lipoic Acid.
Chondroitin Sulfate (4000 mg per serving) Glucosamine (10,000 mg per serving) MSM (10,000 mg per serving) Chondroitin Sulfate works well with Glucosamine and MSM to help replenish collagen and other components that provide the building blocks for cartilage. It also promotes enhanced joint function, elasticity and cushioning required to withstand stress and protects and stabilizes collagen as well as supplying material for the production of new cartilage.
Antioxidants: Vitamin C (5000 mg per serving) Vitamin E (2000 IU per serving) Lipoic Acid (100 mg per serving)
Vitamin C and Vitamin E are powerful antioxidants which aid in the bioavailability of the other ingredients. Lipoic Acid, also a powerful antioxidant, significantly increases the cellular nutrient absorption potential. Antioxidants reduce the pain of arthritis by aiding to control inflammation.
Zinc (300 mg per serving) Copper (100 mg per serving) Manganese (300 mg per serving) These chelated trace minerals are micronutrients essential for proper functioning of many enzyme systems and play a part in the formation of keratin and collagen. A deficiency in any one of these nutrients will impact the efficiency of the others. It is critical to maintain a 3:1 zinc:copper ratio in order to sustain optimum absorption. Zinc is essential for the formation of connective tissue. Manganese levels in many common diets are likely to be incomplete. Copper deficiency may play a role in the development of arthritis, tendon and ligament problems.
Boswellia Extract (Boswellia Serrata) (100 mgs per serving) Boswellia Extract may open up collateral blood circulation to provide adequate blood supply, thereby maintaining mobility and reducing pain due to stiffness. Boswellic acid possesses anti-inflammatory effects comparable to phenylbutazone (bute) and other NSAID’s.

Biotin (25 mg per scoop), is a water-soluble B-group vitamin and is a crucial co-factor in hoof keratination. This sulfur-containing vitamin is especially important for the maintenance of hooves, and is significant for the health of all connective tissue structures. It stimulates keratin production in the hoof, hoof wall, sole and frog, with an added benefit of improvement of the horse’s general appearance and luster. Horses with poor quality hooves may benefit from supplementation at 25 mg daily; higher doses are suggested for horses receiving little or no grain. Beneficial for hooves that are shelly and brittle.
Brewers’ Yeast concentrate (10,000 mg per scoop). This natural pro-biotic supplement promotes gut health, improving digestion and nutrient availability. Yeast is an excellent source of B vitamins complementing Biotin. Contains all of the B complex vitamins.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (10,000mg/scoop) is a digestibility enhancer and gut flora stabilizer. It favourably alters the intestinal microflora balance, encourages feed and supplement utilization, and supports a healthy immune system. It enhances the digestibility of the diet by improving fibers’ digestibility, not only to improve feed efficiency, but also to leave little substrate for (bad) pathogens in the intestine, bolstering (good) pathogenic bacterial growth in the intestine. If the fiber is making a greater contribution to the horse’s requirements, then less concentrates should be required, which is ideal for any horses that are prone to digestive upsets or over-excitable behaviour. Research suggests that adding live yeast to the feed when starch was fed, helped to counteract some of the negative effects that usually occur in the hind gut, in response to starchy meals. It does support the inclusion of yeast in performance horse rations. When given to lactating mares, the resulting improvement in fiber digestion is reflected in changes to milk quality, to the benefit of suckling foals, which show improved growth compared to foals suckling mares given feed without supplementation. Moreover, yeasts are a rich source of water-soluble vitamins and phosphorus.
Yea-Sacc® (10,000 mgs) stimulates good bacteria in a horse’s hind gut, and buffers gut acidity to prevent digestive upset and to restore normal gut function. Helps to reduce risk of digestive colic and digestive disturbances linked with training, traveling, performing, deworming, antibiotic treatment and surgery. Maximizes nutrient digestibility and stimulates milk production in lactating mares.

A BALANCED SYNERGISTIC CALMING FORMULA
RECOMMENDED SERVING: Maintenance- 1 scoop daily Competition- 2 scoops daily morning before event (1 scoop = 33 gr) (60 cc scoop included)
INGREDIENTS: Tryptophan, Thiamine (B1), Niacin (B3), Pyridoxine (B6), Magnesium, Live Yeast Culture and MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides) NO FILLERS
Tryptophan (3000 mg per scoop) is an important calming supplement, a precursor of serotonin, meaning it is a building block from which serotonin can be manufactured in the brain. Tryptophan has been proven to improve mood by boosting serotonin levels, which as a neurotransmitter, acts in the brain to reduce anxiety and promotes concentration, calm and relaxation.
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) (2800 mg per scoop) plays a direct role in transmission of nervous impulses. There is considerable anecdotal evidence for its effectiveness in reducing anxiety in horses. It has been demonstrated to improve concentration and reduce excitability
Vitamin B3 (Niacin) (100 mg per scoop) promotes the production of serotonin in the brain. Niacin also inhibits the enzyme that breaks down tryptophan in the liver. Tryptophan is used to make niacin, but it is a very inefficient process using a good deal of tryptophan to make not very much niacin so, by adding niacin directly in a supplement, the existing tryptophan is ‘spared’ leaving more free to form serotonin and help to calm the horse.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) (100 mg per scoop) has been associated with PMS in mares who exhibit behaviour changes in their heat cycles. Nervousness and irritability may be manifestations of inadequate Vitamin B6 in any horse because of its function in the production of brain chemicals.
A nervous, irritable and difficult to handle horse may be exhibiting signs of Vitamin B deficiency. Supplementation with Vitamin B is also beneficial for horses heavily stressed (surgery, shipping, infection) or heavily exercised. Toxicity with B vitamins administered in the feed is virtually nonexistent since the kidneys will eliminate any excess.
Magnesium Oxide (6000 mg per scoop) has an important function in the transmission of nervous impulses. It is necessary for the activation of B vitamins, especially thiamine. A deficiency interferes with the transmission of nerve and muscle impulses causing nervousness. Magnesium is considered to be an anti-stress mineral. It functions to relax skeletal muscles as well as the smooth muscle of blood vessels and the gastrointestinal tract.
Yeast (stable live yeast culture) (11,000 mg per scoop) has been scientifically proven to improve the hindgut environment of horses. Cultures that are selected for equine diets have been shown categorically to stimulate good bacteria in the hindgut of the horse improving digestion. Research has concluded that live yeast can reduce excess acidity in equine caecal contents and assist in the restoration of normal gut function which appear to affect temperament in certain horses. Turmeric/Curcumin Extract (28,000 mg per serving) Turmeric and Curcumin are commonly confused and used interchangeably. It is important to clearly understand they are not the same when interpreting labels for effectiveness and quality of a product. Turmeric derived from stems of the plant curcuma longa and contains bioactive compounds known as curcuminoids. Curcumin is the most important biologically active phytochemical found in turmeric. Turmeric herb powder contains only 2% curcuminoids, it would take 250 grams to achieve the same therapeutic benefits
Turmeric dramatically increases antioxidant capabilities and also stimulates the body’s own antioxidant enzymes, in addition to neutralizing free radicals due to its chemical structure while enhancing the immune and nervous system.
Curcumin Studies confirm the strong anti-inflammatory effects of this bioactive substance at a molecular level by targeting multiple steps in the inflammatory pathways. It reduces inflammation and pain by the ability to inhibit the cyclooxygenase enzyme 2 (COX-2), while maintaining COX-1 enzymatic function. COX-1 protects your horse’s stomach lining.
Research from the United Kingdom and Germany indicate that curcumin significantly reduces the inflammatory pathways in horses. Studies have also indicated benefits for insulin resistant horses. Curcumin maintains a healthy liver by enhancing function: detoxification, bile flow and digestion, as well as showing significant positive signs to treat skin irritations and sarcoids (melanomas)
Pepper (piperine) (1000 mg per serving) For the best effectiveness black pepper (piperine) to increase the bioavailability and potency (up to 2000%).

Nutritional physicians have been using DMG to manage fatigue, to enhance blood sugar (glucose) metabolism, improve liver functions and to strengthen the cardiovascular system. DMG increases oxygen utilization and thereby decrease lactic acid levels under extreme stress and decrease muscle fatigue and cramping. The energy available to a horse’s body comes from a chemical reaction called the ATP cycle. DMG has been shown to aid transport of the oxygen that breaks down the blood sugar to fuel the ATP cycle. Research indicates that the average 1100 lb. (500 kg) horse needs 1500 mg of DMG per day. Most horsemen double or triple the dose a few days before a race or other heavy activity, without seeing any side effects.

BIO NUTRITION FOR PEAK PERFORMANCE
Recommended Serving: For Maintenance & Stressful conditions 1 scoop (50 gr) daily 70cc scoop included For maximum performance feed 2 scoops daily plus 1 additional scoop evening before events
Electrolytes: (7,220 mg per scoop) Keep the body hydrated and are severely depleted or lost through sweating. Endurance athletes, humans and horses, who sweat profusely over a long period of time are particularly likely to suffer from electrolyte loss.
Sodium Citrate: (4,000 mg per scoop) A scientifically proven acrogenic aid for anaerobic performance specifically acting as an effective buffering agent.
Calcium: (3,000 mg per scoop) Has been shown to enhance both anaerobic and aerobic performance by enhancing ATP production.
Potassium Phosphate: (200 mg per scoop) supplies the important electrolyte, potassium, and an abundance of phosphate. ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is the muscles contractile energy source.
Magnesium Oxide: (2000 mg per scoop) Insures smooth rhythmic body movements.
DMG: (Dimenthylglycine) (1,500 mg per scoop) Has long been used by athletes to improve overall performance and endurance, to enhance oxygen utilization and improve recovery after strenuous exercise. A trial conducted using DMG in the diet of racing standardbreds, resulted in lower blood lactic acid levels following training. Trainers found these horses to be more ‘aggressive’, to have better appetites and attitudes, and to recover faster from racing and training.
L-Glutamine: (1,000 mg per scoop) The demand for this non-essential amino acid increases dramatically when the body is repairing damaged tissue. Supplementation with L-glutamine will create an increase in nitrogen retention to enhance anabolism and allow the body to repair tissue more efficiently. During endurance training, L-Glutamine will prevent the body from using muscle as fuel by sparing glycogen stores, increasing endurance.
L-Lysine: (6,000 mg per scoop) An essential amino acid which is the necessary building blocks for all protein. Lysine is most often deficient in horse diets. Supplementation is highly recommended for horses in training and performance horses. It is needed for appropriate muscle, blood and hoof development. Helps in collagen formation and repairs tissues.
ANTIOXIDANTS: (1,500 mg per scoop) Lipoic Acid: (50 mg) A powerful antioxidant that significantly increases the cellular nutrient absorption potential. Mimics insulin to increase glucose and amino acid absorption, enhancing recovery and muscle tone, energy and stamina. Vitamin C: (450 mg) During periods of peak performance, the body requires more Vitamin C for tissue recovery and restoration. Vitamin E: (1000 mg) Enhances muscle tone and endurance, is a potent antioxidant.
Creatine Monohydrate: (10,000 mg per scoop) Creatine properly reacted with a Krebs Cycle Intermediate to create a molecule with a higher bioavailability. Five times more soluble, more absorbable and more active than creatine monohydrate. Increased bioavailability means you use less for saturation and maintenance and hypersaturation is possible. Creatine Citrate is not a single blend, rather an innovative molecule engineered for increased bioactivity. Creatine absorption into the muscles is enhanced by the simultaneous ingestion of glucose. May produce more ATP for extra energy, speed and endurance. Buffers the lactic acid build up.
Carbohydrate (20,000 mg per scoop) Maltodextrin, Glucose and fructose for muscles and energy supply. The importance of the initial muscle glycogen concentration in high intensity exercise has been reported. The general consensus is that muscle glycogen concentration plays a significant role in performance by providing extra dietary carbohydrates prior, during and after exercise.
For optimum results, we recommend to feed with CARBOFORCE, our glycogen loading formula.

Directions for use: 2 scoops (65 g) once or twice daily
Slippery Elm Bark - This will act as an internal poultice, reducing over- acid secretions and soothing inflammation for normal healthy recovery of the damaged lining. Will also assist in relaxing the stomach and improving the normal rhythmic action necessary for digestion and fluid secretion.
Meadowsweet Herb Salicylic - acid from Meadowsweet and Willow is the original herbal aspirin. It is particularly effective when used for ulcers resulting from drug use or poisoning. It is one of the best all around herbs for the digestive system and will soothe mucous membranes in the digestive tract, reducing excess acidity and associated pain. It is a valuable anti-inflammatory and astringent herb. Licorice Root has been used for over 3000 years as a digestive and respiratory aid. This herb has the ability to harmonize with many other herbs and tastes pleasant for horses. The active ingredient in Licorice is Glycyrrhizin. It produces a thick sticky mucous when ingested which will reduce gastric acid secretion and encourage healing, particularly for those horses that have completed a treatment with steroids or phenylbutazone, or have gastric ulcers.
Mixed Bioflavonoids, Milk Thistle & Bearberry - Milk thistle is beneficial for the liver. It detoxifies poisons that enter the blood stream. Bioflavonoids are a diverse class of botanical compounds that function within plants as antioxidants, enzyme inhibitors, pigments and light screens. They also are involved with photosensitization, photosynthesis and defense against infection. A growing body of evidence points to a possible connection between plant Bioflavonoids and prevention/treatment of gastric ulceration in mammals. Some Bioflavonoids have been reported to be as effective as cimetidine in reducing total gastric secretion, reducing the free and total acids in the gastric secretions, and reducing gastric mucosal histamine. Research has shown that combinations of flavonoids are able to reduce ulceration in rats by up to 99%. In addition, the flavonic fraction of Milk Thistle and Bearberry prevented the development of and/or improved the healing of rat ulcers.
Marshmallow Root - It’s mucilaginous qualities make it ideal for the treatment of inflammation and ulceration of the digestive system as well as stomach and intestinal disorders. Specific for any condition of the digestive system such as gastric ulceration, soothes the gut.
Chamomile Flowers (German Chamomile) - Stabling conditions, diet, training and competition can create stress and agitation and contribute to the possibility of ulcers. Chamomile is widely used for its calming and relaxing properties and as a remedy for digestive disorders to give the horse the opportunity to heal itself. Directions for use: 2 scoops (65 g) once or twice daily Active Ingredients: A proprietary blend of Slippery Elm Bark, Meadowsweet Herb, Licorice Root, Milk Thistle, Bearberry, Marshmallow Root and Chamomile Flowers, Bioflavonoids (Rutin, Hesperidin, Catechins, Quercetin)

A BIOTIN FORMULA TO PROVIDE NUTRITIONAL FACTORS FOR HOOF GROWTH AND HEALTH
Pharmaceutical Grade
Recommended Servings: 1 scoop (33 gr) once daily (60cc scoop included)
Biotin (20 mg per scoop) Biotin is a water soluble B-group vitamin and is a crucial co-factor in hoof keratination. This sulfur containing vitamin is especially important for the maintenance of hooves and significant for the health of all connective tissue structures, stimulates keratin production in the hoof, hoof wall, sole and frog with an added benefit of improvement of the horses general appearance and luster.
Horses with poor quality hooves may benefit from supplementation at 20 mg daily, higher doses are suggested for horses receiving little or no grain. Biotin is beneficial for hooves that are shelly and brittle.
Methionine (4000 mg per scoop), Lysine (2000 mg per scoop) Methionine and Lysine are two essential amino acids, often deficient in equine feeds and indications are poor quality hoof, skin and coat, as well as tendon and ligament problems. Delayed wound healing and low tolerance to stress and exercise are also signs of deficiency. These amino acids are key components of the protein Keratin, “the major protein in hoof horn” and are vital building blocks in the construction of the hoof. These crucial building blocks must be present to ensure full utilization of Biotin. Methionine is a sulfur containing amino acid essential for formation of strong hooves. Lysine is the first key to unlocking protein efficiency.
Zinc (300 mg). Copper (100 mg), Manganese (200 mg per scoop) These chelated trace minerals are micronutrients essential for proper functioning of many enzyme systems and play a part in the formation of keratin and collagen which are vital for healthy hooves, hair and skin. A deficiency in any one of these nutrients will impact the efficiency of the others. Supplemental zinc and copper in the proper ratio can substantially improve the body’s ability to grow and heal hoof tissues. It is critical to maintain a 3:1 zinc: copper ratio in order to sustain optimum absorption.
Manganese and zinc are co-factors to anti-oxidant enzyme systems, known to be important for hoof health. Manganese levels in many common diets are likely to be incomplete. Copper deficiency may play a role in the development of arthritis, tendon and ligament problems, as well as hoof problems.
MSM (10,000 mg per scoop) MSM is one of nature’s best sources of dietary sulfur. Inadequate amounts will lead to poor hoof strength, tendon and ligament weakness and poor joint cartilage quality.
Kelp (8000 mg per scoop) Kelp is an excellent form of multi-vitamin and hoof supplement, containing balanced quantities of essential minerals such as iron, selenium, iodine, sulfur, copper, magnesium, zinc, as well as beta carotene, Vitamins C, D and E, B1 and B2, niacin, and up to twenty different amino acids.
Brewers’ Yeast (8533 mg per scoop) This natural pro-biotic supplement promotes gut health improving digestion and nutrient availability. Yeast is an excellent source of B vitamins complementing Biotin. Contains all of the B-complex vitamins.
Note: If you use an effective supplement like Hoofefex, you should see new hoof growth in approximately 4-6 weeks. It may take up to 9 months for your horse to grow a completely new hoof.

Hyaluronic Acid (100 mg per scoop). HA is a component of collagen, and is classified as a mucopolysaccharide. It belongs to the same category as Chondroitin and Glucosamine. It functions by attracting water to the synovial fluid, and acts as a lubricating substance within the joint, creating a protective barrier that reduces friction, relieving inflammation and pain by improving joint function.
Vitamin C supports the immune system. During periods of peak performance, illness and recovery, the body may require more Vitamin C than naturally produced in the liver. In addition to being a potent antioxidant, Vitamin C attacks damaging free radicals, produced naturally within the body during oxidation and inflammation. It contributes to wound healing, maintenance of capillaries, bones, teeth, and absorption of iron, and helps in the formation of collagen.
Vitamin E NATURAL (D-Alpha- tocopherol-acetate) enhances muscle tone and endurance in working horses, and it also improves circulation. Vitamin E improves heart function, enhances the immune system and acts as a potent antioxidant. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E is very important to the diet, for their free radical scavenging properties. Free radicals are produced in higher quantities during times of stress, such as heavy exercise, illness or injury. Beneficial for the prevention of tying up.
Lysine is needed for appropriate growth (muscle, blood, and hoof-building) and bone development; it helps calcium absorption, and maintains proper nitrogen balance. This amino acid aids in the production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes, and helps in collagen formation and tissue repair. The horse’s body is about .05% magnesium, or about one half pound in a mature horse.
Magnesium is an activator of many enzymes involved in energy production. It assists in calcium and potassium uptake, and plays a role in the formation of bone, as well as in carbohydrate and mineral metabolism.

Jiaogulan for horses maintains a healthy cortisol process, by supporting the natural levels of cortisol in the equine body, known as an adaptogen. It works with the body’s natural pathways, supporting production of vascular nitric oxide, which improves blood delivery to the extremities and feet. Jiaogulan is useful to support circulation in the hooves and sensitive laminae. It also aids in support of the body’s natural repair mechanisms. It has shown benefits in EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome) and horses with Cushing disease (PPID). In addition, it has also shown benefits in performance horses, improving the repair of muscles, ligaments and tendons, by increasing the ability to circulate blood, and deliver its powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
Jiaogulan is frequently recommended for horses with foot pain, promoting healing and suppressing inflammation.

Marshmallow root is specific to aid in digestive disorders in horses. It contains high levels of mucilage, which is a sticky, viscous sap that, when ingested, absorbs water and other liquids, and forms a protective barrier over inflamed mucous membranes. This can be very beneficial in treating horses with ulcers, as the protective coating can relieve pain and discomfort, and allow healing.
By removing excess fluid from the digestion system, it also relieves the discomfort of the burning sensation from excess stomach acid. This can also be useful with any digestive-related issues, as the soothing coating the mucilage creates can protect all mucous membranes of the digestive tract. It’s particularly effective for horses with constipation or diarrhea.

Chromium Yeast (1000 mg – Delivers 1 mg of Chromium) Chromium assists in the regulation of blood sugar, working with insulin. It is an integral component of glucose tolerance factor in blood, which is involved with both processing glucose and keeping blood glucose levels stable. Supplementing chromium is beneficial in horses that require support to maintain normal metabolic function and a healthier body composition has also been shown to decrease the amount calories that are deposited as fat and increase lean muscle mass.
Magnesium Oxide (10000mgs) Magnesium is one mineral that affects both insulin secretion and action and is therefore important in glucose homeostasis; low intracellular magnesium levels result in impaired insulin function. Supplementing with Magnesium may help peripheral circulation, and reduce low chronic inflammation.
DiCalcium Phosphate (10000mgs) It is important to have the correct ratio of calcium to phosphorus and magnesium for the minerals to have optimal absorption. Calcium and magnesium work antagonistically, calcium causing muscle contraction and magnesium inducing relaxation, therefor it is highly beneficial to supplement theses together.
Brewer’s Yeast (19000mgs) This natural pro-biotic supplement promotes gut health improving digestion and nutrient availability. Yeast is an excellent source of B vitamins as it contains all of the B complex vitamins.

MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides) (20,000 mg per scoop) This prebiotic is derived from the outer wall of yeast cells. MOS works by sticking onto pathogenic bacteria so that they cannot become attached to the wall of the gut. MOS also has a beneficial effect on the immune system of the intestinal track, as well as improving feed digestibility.
Slippery Elm Bark (1500mg per scoop) helps to coat and sooth the digestive track and also may have antioxidant properties. Will also assist in relaxing the stomach and improving the normal rhythmic action necessary for digestion and fluid secretion
Yeast (live yeast culture minimum 1 billion cells per gram) (12,000 mg per scoop) Cultures that are selected for equine diets have been shown categorically to stimulate good bacteria in the hindgut of the horse improving digestion. Research has concluded that live yeast can reduce excess acidity in equine caecal contents and assist in the restoration of normal gut function which appear to affect temperament in certain horses. Yeast enhances the activity of fibre digesting bacteria, therefore promoting a more efficient use of the vitamins and minerals. Undigested carbohydrates and excess starch can cause high acidity in the hindgut, which can reduce vitamin B formation.

Probio Max – Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes for Healthy Gut Flora
Probio Duo (10 Billion CFU/Gram) 2 Billion CFU’s/Scoop Probiotic Duo is a mix of Bacillus coagulans, Bacillus subtilis & FOS it is Human grade, AAFCO approved, and most importantly shelf stable.
Recommendation for specific use in horses is to feed 2 billion CFU’s. Each individual probiotic bacteria is well known to help maintain or restore the natural balance of intestinal microflora. Probio Duo includes Bacillus subtilis, and Bacillus coagulans. Benefits include ability to withstand different physical and chemical environments or the varying pH levels of the digestive tract, the strains of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus coagulans in Probio Duo are able to survive the journey to its target destination and also prosper there as well. Unfortunately, the proper balance of beneficial flora in the intestinal tract can be disrupted by factors such as antibiotics, stress, and many others. The most common result of this imbalance is diarrhea, cramping, bloating and sometimes overgrowth of opportunistic organisms. Supplemental Probio Duo can help restore a healthy balance of microflora. The two Bacilli species are all gram-positive bacteria and create a favorable environment for the growth of “good microflora” in the large intestine. This, in turn, supports the integral functions of the large intestine, namely absorption of water and minerals.
Allzyme SSF (2000 mgs per scoop) Solid state fermentation (SSF) is a method that produces a strain of Aspergillus niger. Aspergillus niger has been found to be beneficial to animals when maintained in the correct balance within the gastrointestinal tract. For probiotic purposes, Aspergillus niger can help to restore and re-stabilize the micro flora in the gastrointestinal tract. Supports healthy immune system, gut flora, promotes digestion & nutrient absorption. Can also combat pathogenic bacteria and improve overall metabolism. Also allows for more nutrients including amino acids, calcium and phosphorus to be available
YEA-SACC® (1500 mgs/Scoop) stimulates good bacteria in horses hind gut and buffers gut acidity to prevent digestive upset and to restore normal gut function. Helps to reduce risk of digestive colic and digestive disturbances linked with training, traveling, performing, de-worming, antibiotic treatment and surgery. Maximizes nutrient digestibility and stimulates milk production in lactating mares.

Glucosamine Sulfate 10,000 mg per serving MSM 10,000 mg per serving
Glucosamine is one of the most effective tissue repair nutrients and has been proven to relieve joint pain, restore connective tissue, reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing process. MSM relieves the pain of strained muscles and over extended joints and can lessen inflammation and muscle spasms. MSM also adds to the benefits of Glucosamine
Curcumin 95% Extract 4500 mg per serving
An extract of Tumeric, this is a potent anti-inflammatory supplement which enhances the recovery of damaged tissue and is as effective as cortisone or phenylbutazone (bute). However, while cortisone and bute are associated with significant toxicity, curcumin displays virtually no toxicity, in addition to being a superior anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant to combat free radicals. This remarkable herbal extract can prevent liver damage from toxins and decrease bleeding into the lungs by reducing stress related inflammatory hypertension (elevated blood pressure)
Amino Acids L-Glutamine 1500 mg per serving L-Lysine 6000 mg per serving
Recovery would not be complete without L-Glutamine, a key amino acid for muscle health. The immune system requires glutamine in times of trauma or stress. The demand for this non-essential amino acid increases dramatically when the body is repairing damaged tissue. L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that aids in the production of antibodies, hormones, enzymes and helps collagen formation and tissue repair. Deficiency can result in lack of energy and retarded growth.
Yucca Root 6000 mg per serving
Research supports its effectiveness for various types of arthritis, bursitis, rheumatism and inflammation. Yucca contains high levels of saponins (natural glucides) which are natural pain killers; a precursor to synthetic cortisone.
Boswellia Extract (Boswellia serrata) 1250 mg per serving
Boswellia Extract may open up collateral blood circulation to provide adequate blood supply, thereby maintaining mobility and reducing pain due to stiffness. Boswellic acid possesses anti-inflammatory effects comparable to phenylbutazone (bute) and other NSAID’s.
Vitamin E 4,000 mg Vitamin C 4900 mg Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg per serving

PROMOTES & MAINTAINS OPTIMAL HEALTH AND JOINT FUNCTION WITH ADDED HYALURONIC ACID
MSM (12,000 mg per serving)
MSM is a biologically active form of the mineral sulfur. Sulfur plays a particularly important role in tissue structure. MSM contributes to healthy joints because, as a form of sulfur, it adds to the benefits of glucosamine. It may aid glucosamine in its role to maintain healthy cartilage, as well as helping to enhance joint flexibility and mobility. This supplement also relieves the pain of strained muscles and over extended joints, and can lessen inflammation and muscle spasms.
Glucosamine. (10,000 mg per serving) Benefits: Maintains musculoskeletal health, provides building blocks for healthy joints while improving joint function. To help maintain the frame health with nutrition, one of the most powerful supplements is glucosamine. The amino sugars found in glucosamine are incorporated into the structure of body tissue. Is also involved in the formation of cartilage, tendons, skin, eyes, bones, ligaments and heart valves. It also plays a role in mucous secretions of the digestive, respiratory and urinary tracts. Glucosamine stimulates chondrocytes to produce more collagen and proteoglycans. The more glucosamine there is, the more collagen and proteoglycans there are, and the more water can be absorbed. The end result is healthier cartilage. Because of these properties, glucosamine can help the body help itself repair damaged or eroded cartilage. It works at the cellular level to reinforce our natural repair ability.
Calcium (Calcium Citrate) (2880 mg Calcium Citrate equals 600 mg elemental calcium per serving)
Calcium is necessary for bone formation and muscle contraction. Bone is approximately 35% calcium. It is important that horses of all ages get sufficient calcium. A lack of calcium may result in a weak skeleton which might not tolerate the strains and shocks of training.
Magnesium (Magnesium Oxide) (1220 mg Magnesium Oxide equals 600 mg elemental magnesium per serving)
The horses body is about .05% magnesium, or about one half pound in a mature horse. It is an activator of many enzymes involved in energy production. It assists in calcium and potassium uptake and plays a role in the formation of bone and in carbohydrate and mineral metabolism.
Grape Seed Extract 95% (1000 mg per serving) contains many active antioxidants including bioflavonoids and polyphenols such as proanthocyanidin. Many research publications have reported on the health benefits of Grape Seed Extract especially their extremely potent antioxidant activity, improving cardio vascular and gastric health.
Grape Seed Extract is an antiallergenic, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It strengthens blood vessels and protects small blood vessels from damage to their walls, including the capillaries in the lung, also aids circulation.
Boswellia Extract (Boswellia serrata) (1500 mg per serving)
Has been used for centuries in the Indian Ayurvedic system of medicine to maintain healthy joints. This is still one of the main uses. Boswellic acid improves blood supply to the joints and maintain the integrity of blood vessels thereby maintaining mobility and reducing pain due to stiffness. At least one study has indicated that Boswellia Extract may open up collateral blood circulation to provide adequate blood supply to the joints. It’s anti-inflammatory effects are comparable to phenylbutazone (bute) and other NSAIDs.
Manganese, (100 mg per serving) A mineral essential for the formation of connective tissue. A Manganese deficiency has been associated with carbohydrate metabolism defects.
Hyaluronic Acid 99% (100 mgs per serving) HA is a component of collagen, it functions by attracting water to the synovial fluid and acts as a lubricating substance within the joint creating a protective barrier that reduces friction relieving inflammation and pain by improving joint function.

“Tea Tree”Oil
Recommended Serving: Apply pure tea tree oil, or diluted if desired.
For External Use Only.
Apply pure tea tree oil or diluted if desirable, sparingly, directly to the site of the problem: rashes, cuts, or itches. Tea Tree Oil has powerful abilities to clean and help heal wounds and skin ailments in people and animals. Horse owners have also found a use for tea tree oil as a fly repellant. Application around horses eyes, face and body helps to repel flies. The oil also acts as a preventative measure against infection or irritation of the skin.
Pure Tea Tree Oil conforming to Australian standard A.S.D. 175, revised 1985, is a powerful broad-range antiseptic, fungicide, and bactericide. In fact, Tea Tree Oil is four to five times stronger than household antiseptics. Its bacterial action is increased in the presence of blood, serum, pus and necrotic tissue. It is able to penetrate deeply into infected tissue and pus, mix with these, and cause them to slough off while leaving a healthy surface. The oil has a very low toxicity, and is virtually a non-irritant even to sensitive tissues. Because of its lower cineole level, Tea Tree Oil is less toxic and less irritating than eucalyptus oil.
Suggested Formulas:
(1) one part of pure tea tree oil with 10 parts of cold pressed oil such as olive, apricot, almond, avocado, etc.
(2) add 10 drops to an 8 oz. bottle of shampoo (human or pet)
(3) add 10 drops to bath water

Calcium Citrate (5700 mg per scoop) Magnesium Oxide (2500 mg per scoop)Equals the ideal elemental value of 1:1 ratio and are mutually dependent.
Therefore, these two elements should be administered at the same time. Magnesium governs the bio-availability and bioactivity of calcium. Deficiencies are likely on all un- supplemented diets for horses that exercise heavily. Magnesium helps absorb calcium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium. It is necessary for the B vitamins, especially thiamine, to be utilized. A deficiency interferes with the transmission of nerve and muscle impulses causing nervousness. Magnesium is considered to be an anti-stress mineral. It functions to relax skeletal muscles as well as the smooth muscle of blood vessels and the gastrointestinal tract.
Vitamin D (1000 IU per scoop)Zinc (300 mg per scoop) Facilitates absorption and enhances optimization of calcium and phosphorus, as well as the B vitamins which depend on the phosphorous for complete absorption. Vitamin D and chelated Zinc act synergistically with the calcium to ensure maximum bio-availability.
Dicalcium Phosphate(17,500 mg per scoop) Provides calcium and phosphorus which may be lacking in an animal’s regular feed. The neutral Ph contributes to the buffering action to relieve upset stomach and reduces lactic acid build-up. Dicalcium Phosphate is an ideal feed supplement because of its optimum Calcium:Phosphorus ratio of 1.3:1
Thiamine B-1 (1000 mg per scoop) Thiamine enhances circulation and assists in blood formation. It is needed for muscle tone of the intestines, stomach and heart. Deficiency of Thiamine can present as laboured breathing, nervousness, weak and sore muscle.
DMG(1500 mg per scoop)Aids in maintenance of high energy levels and improves oxygen utilization. Reduces lactic acid levels under extreme stress, decreases fatigue, cramping and recovery faster from racing and training.
Potassium Phosphate(1000 mg per scoop)Supplies the important electrolyte potassium and an abundance of phosphate.
Boswellia Extract(500 mg per scoop)Boswellia may open up collateral blood circulation, thereby maintaining mobility and reducing pain due to stiffness.
Vitamin E(2000 IU per scoop)Selenium*(1 mg per scoop)Performance horses need increased levels of Vitamin E and Selenium to minimize the delirious affects associated with stress. Supplementation is necessary for maintenance of muscle and is suggested that race horses or performance horses obtain at least 2 mg of selenium daily. Deficiencies can result in “Tying Up” symptoms. Vitamin E & Selenium are considered effective in treating and preventing re-occurrence of the disability.
*CAUTION: Since toxicity can occur, do not overfeed Selenium. Check all feed for sources of Selenium. Can be harmful in excess. Consult your veterinarian.
